97 percent of applicants to Brigham Young University-Idaho were admitted for fall 2018

At Brigham Young University-Idaho, 52 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Rexburg enrolled 42,341 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 4.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

22 percent of undergraduates are residents of Idaho, and 74 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and two or more races (7 percent).

The school admitted 97 percent of the 9,998 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 46 percent enrolled.
