U.S. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo has expressed support for the nomination of Alex Adams to become the Assistant Secretary for Family Support at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). President Trump has nominated Adams, who currently serves as the Director of Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare.

Chairman Crapo praised Adams' dedication to health initiatives in Idaho. "Alex has shown a deep commitment to Idahoans’ health throughout his tenure as Director of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare," he stated. Crapo highlighted Adams' leadership skills and his focus on expanding healthcare access in underserved areas.

Adams also served as Governor Little’s budget and regulatory director, a role that Crapo believes will benefit his new position at HHS. "His leadership and dedication to expanding care in underserved areas reflects the commonsense, results-driven approach he will bring to HHS," said Crapo. He further noted that Adams’ experience would be crucial in enhancing government efficiency concerning public health.

Crapo looks forward to a prompt review of Adams' nomination by the Senate Finance Committee, emphasizing its importance for improving health services across America.
