Moderna Asks FDA to Allow Second Coronavirus Booster Shot for All Adults

Modernas

AMERICANS FOR AMERICA issued the following announcement on March 18.

It’s a significantly broader request than what Pfizer submitted just days prior.

Moderna announced late Thursday that it asked the Food and Drug Administration to allow all adults to get a fourth dose of its coronavirus vaccine just days after Pfizer made its more targeted request.

Moderna said it was expanding the age range for the request so that federal agencies can “determine the appropriate use of an additional booster dose of mRNA-1273, including for those at higher risk of COVID-19 due to age or comorbidities.”
