Six interns have joined U.S. Senator Mike Crapo’s (R-Idaho) Washington, D.C., Lewiston, and Boise offices for the summer 2024 term.

“I applaud the enthusiasm of these young people as they take an interest in public service,” Crapo said. “Through their internships, they foster real-world skills in a new environment, gaining experience in policymaking, constituent services, and communications.”

Three interns will serve in the Washington, D.C., office:

Helen Goodyear is a Sun Valley, Idaho native and attends the University of Virginia. She is studying public policy and leadership.

Carter Jasper attends the University of Montana. He is studying political science.

Caroline Lucia attends Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She is majoring in finance.

Two interns will serve in the Boise office:

Matthew Candau attends the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He is studying international relations and economics.

Peyton Jungert attends Boise State University. He is studying biology and is on the pre-law track.

One intern will serve in the Lewiston office:

Adriana Enriquez-Gonzalez attends Lewis-Clark State College. She is studying justice studies with a law and legal systems emphasis.

Crapo hosts interns in his Washington, D.C., office as well as in various regional offices throughout Idaho. Students interested in positions for the spring, summer or fall semesters can find more information about the application process, internship expectations, and deadlines for applying on the Senator's official website at: https://www.crapo.senate.gov/services/for-students/internships
