U.S. Senator Jim Risch from Idaho recently shared his perspectives on several key issues during an interview with the Neal Larson Show on NewsTalk 107.9. The conversation highlighted Risch's strong support for President-elect Donald Trump and his commitment to advancing the America First agenda.

Risch discussed his actions, including a letter urging the Mountain West Conference to prohibit biological males from participating in women's sports and efforts to halt the Lava Ridge Wind Project in Southern Idaho.

Regarding Trump's cabinet appointments, Risch stated, “I have voted for every single appointment that Donald Trump has ever made. I have carried them on the [Senate] floor.” He emphasized his dedication by saying, “Not many people in Idaho have done more for him than I have.”

Risch expressed confidence in Trump's leadership, stating, “We didn’t win [the election] by just a little. We won it in a landslide.” He further commented on their political direction: “We’re going to Make America Great Again. We’re moving away from woke. We’re moving away from the left.”

On the topic of protecting women's sports, Risch praised Boise State University’s women’s volleyball team for their decision not to compete against a team with a transgender player: “They want to play a women’s team, not a women’s team that’s salted with players that have a physical advantage because they’re male.”

Discussing the Lava Ridge project, Risch expressed optimism about stopping it under Trump's presidency: “With the election of President Trump, I’m optimistic we’re going to [stop Lava Ridge].”
