Today, Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson expressed his support for the re-election of Speaker Mike Johnson as the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. In a statement, Rep. Simpson highlighted Johnson's leadership qualities and his commitment to advancing President Trump's agenda.
“Speaker Mike Johnson is the kind of leader we need to advance President Trump's agenda through the United States House of Representatives and deliver for the American people,” said Rep. Simpson. He further praised Johnson's dedication to conservative values and prioritizing the country's best interests, stating, “Under challenging circumstances, Speaker Johnson has consistently fought for conservative values and has put our country's best interests first. His proven leadership is why I proudly supported his re-election as Speaker of the House.”
Johnson secured his position with 218 votes.
