Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson has expressed his support for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act by voting in favor of H.R.21. This legislation aims to ensure that infants who survive an attempted abortion receive the same medical care as any other newborn.

"The right to life—the most fundamental human right—must be protected and upheld. I was proud to support legislation that reaffirms that commitment by ensuring life-saving care for defenseless babies who were born alive," stated Rep. Simpson, emphasizing his long-standing support for pro-life policies throughout his congressional career. He added, "This bill will protect the most basic and inherent human right to life—a cause I will always lend my support to."

Rep. Simpson's commitment to pro-life initiatives is further highlighted by his recent A+ rating on Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America's 118th Congress scorecard.

In addition to supporting H.R.21, Rep. Simpson has also cosponsored H.R.7, known as the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act of 2025. This proposed legislation seeks to prohibit federal funds from being used for abortions or health benefits that include abortion coverage.

The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act was passed with a vote count of 217-204.
