Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson has announced his support for the Firearm Industry Non-Discrimination (FIND) Act, formally known as H.R. 45. This bill aims to prevent corporations from receiving federal contracts if they engage in discrimination against firearm trade associations or businesses involved with firearms. The legislation is spearheaded by Congressman Jack Bergman from Michigan.

Rep. Simpson expressed his concerns regarding the use of taxpayer money, stating, “Americans’ taxpayer dollars should never go into the pockets of corporations that undermine the Second Amendment.” He further added, “However, in recent years, we’ve seen large companies that benefit from federal funding adopt policies designed to harm and discriminate against the American firearm industry. I am proud to support this effort and responsibly spend taxpayer dollars while protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens.”

The full text of the bill can be accessed for further details.
