U.S. Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho, the lead Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, has expressed his support for Dr. Kevin A. Hassett's appointment as Director of the White House National Economic Council. The announcement was made by President-elect Donald Trump.
Senator Crapo praised Dr. Hassett's career in economics and his contribution to the Republicans' tax reform efforts in 2017. "Kevin has a distinguished career in economics and played a vital role in Republicans’ tax reform efforts in 2017," said Crapo.
