U.S. Senator Mike Crapo has announced the nomination of 36 Idaho students to the nation's military academies. The U.S. service academies will now review these nominations and make final decisions on admittance.
“These outstanding students have indicated an admirable willingness to serve their nation and attend United States’ military academies,” Crapo stated. “This is an incredible achievement and a testament to their hard work, dedication and character.”
The list of nominees for the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York includes Max Agres from Pocatello, Jacob Bryan from Ammon, Alex Bryum from Boise, Octavian Chavez from Meridian, Jacob Farmer from Eagle, Roy Heath from Eagle, Rylie Kimball from Naples, Samuel Locke from Hayden, Payton Norling from Meridian, Roman Stonhill from Ammon, Timothy Strand from Meridian, Charles Tobler from Boise, and Alexandra Zuloeta from Meridian.
Nominees for the U.S. Naval Academy include Paul Anderson from Boise, Jackson Balsmeier from Idaho Falls, Zachery Blansfield from Rathdrum, Marcus Breen also hailing from Boise along with Alexis Danes and Alexandra Zuloeta.
