U.S. Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho has expressed his support following the Senate's confirmation of Christopher Wright as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy. The confirmation vote concluded with 59 in favor and 38 against.

Senator Crapo stated, "Christopher Wright has committed to an all-of-the-above domestic energy strategy that will advance and promote innovative solutions to achieve greater American energy excellence, leadership and independence." He highlighted Wright's extensive experience across various energy sources and emphasized the importance of his commitment to nuclear energy, particularly for Idaho, which hosts a leading nuclear laboratory.

Crapo further noted, "Under his leadership at DOE, our nation will prioritize affordable, reliable and secure energy sources that support American innovation and growth and improve the lives of Americans."

The appointment marks a significant step towards advancing America's energy independence through diverse strategies under Wright's guidance.
