36.7% unemployed in Idaho Falls in 2017

36.7 percent of Idaho Falls residents between 16 and 65 years old were unemployed in 2017, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The percentage of unemployed residents was less than the statewide total of 37.5 percent for this demographic group. In 2017 the total Idaho Falls population reached 44,014.

Out of 27,882 people who had a job, 29 were employed in the Armed Forces and 27,853 belonged to the civilian labor force.

The total unemployment numbers include residents of all ages who are not working.
