On January 24, 2025, during the 52nd Annual National March for Life in Washington, D.C., U.S. Senator Mike Crapo from Idaho expressed his dedication to pro-life policies. He highlighted several actions he has taken in the 119th Congress to safeguard life.

Senator Crapo stated, "Life is a precious gift from God. Protecting the rights of the unborn is paramount in fostering respect for human life from the moment of conception. We have a moral responsibility to protect the most vulnerable among us."

In line with this belief, Senator Crapo has taken specific steps:

He signed a letter addressed to President Trump urging him to reinstate certain pro-life policies that were initially implemented during Trump's first term. The letter requests the restoration of the Protect Life Rules to prevent taxpayer money from being used for abortions domestically and internationally. It also calls for bringing back conscience protection regulations that were previously rolled back.

Furthermore, Senator Crapo co-sponsored the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which seeks to ensure appropriate medical care for any child surviving an attempted abortion and penalizes intentional harm against such children. However, the Senate did not move forward with a vote on this bill.

Additionally, he co-sponsored the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. This legislation aims to permanently prohibit federal funds from covering abortion costs, reinforcing restrictions established by the Hyde Amendment.

Recently, Senator Crapo received an A+ rating on Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America’s scorecard for his work during the 118th Congress.
