Senate Finance Committee advances Jamieson Greer's nomination as USTR

The U.S. Senate Finance Committee has advanced the nomination of Jamieson Greer for the position of United States Trade Representative (USTR). The committee voted 15-12 in favor of Greer's nomination.

Following the vote, Chairman Mike Crapo from Idaho expressed his support for Greer. "Mr. Greer has the experience and much-needed determination to successfully advocate for American farmers, ranchers, workers and manufacturers," Crapo stated. He also highlighted Greer's commitment to expanding global market access for Americans and collaborating closely with Congress. Crapo added, "I look forward to working with him and his nomination being considered by the full Senate."

Greer's nomination will now proceed to the full Senate for consideration.
