U.S. Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch, alongside U.S. Representatives Mike Simpson and Russ Fulcher, all representing Idaho, have announced a series of events designed for young Idahoans interested in learning about U.S. service academies. These events aim to provide students, parents, and counselors with the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from various service academies and gain insight into the nomination process through the Idaho Congressional Delegation.

The four academies participating in these events are the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

The first event will be held on March 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. PST at Lewiston High School Library located at 3201 Cecil Andrus Way in Lewiston for Central Idaho residents.

North Idaho residents can attend an event on April 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. PST at North Idaho College's Student Union Building at 495 N. College Drive in Coeur d’Alene.

In South Idaho, there is an option to attend either in-person or via Zoom on April 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at Gowen Field Readiness Building #440 located at 4087 W. Harvard St in Boise. An RSVP is required for this session; those interested should contact Amy Sorensen from Congressman Mike Simpson’s Office at (208) 523-6701 for further details.

For additional information regarding service academy nominations, attendees are encouraged to seek further resources as directed by their representatives.
