U.S. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo from Idaho has issued a statement following his discussion with Frank Bisignano, who has been nominated by President Trump to be the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA).

Crapo expressed satisfaction with the conversation, stating, “I enjoyed my conversation today with Frank Bisignano, President Trump’s nominee to serve as Commissioner of the Social Security Administration." He further highlighted Bisignano's extensive experience in leadership roles within the private sector, particularly in financial services and payments. Crapo remarked that this background makes Bisignano "exceptionally qualified for the task ahead."

The chairman also indicated his intention to expedite the nomination process through the Finance Committee, saying, "I look forward to swiftly considering his nomination before the Finance Committee."
