Today, Dr. Mehmet Oz has been confirmed as the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) by the U.S. Senate with a vote of 53-45. This decision follows recommendations from U.S. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo, who urged his colleagues to support Dr. Oz's nomination, highlighting his experience and vision for modernizing CMS.

Dr. Oz's role as CMS Administrator will involve overseeing healthcare programs including Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
