U.S. Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho has announced several new hires and staff changes in his Washington, D.C., office.
Grant Auman has joined the team as Staff Assistant and D.C. Office Manager. Auman first began working with Crapo's office as an intern in June. He also completed an internship with U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts of Nebraska. Auman is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, holding degrees in political science, economics, and Spanish.
Matthew Favero has taken on the role of Staff Assistant and IT Assistant. He initially joined Crapo's office as an intern in 2022. Favero graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in American studies.
Matthew Mondello has been promoted to Legislative Aide after serving as a Legislative Correspondent in Crapo's office. Mondello previously worked for retired U.S. Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina as a Staff Assistant and Legislative Correspondent. He graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in politics. In his new role, Mondello will focus on pro-life, education, and child development issues.
Carson Tester, originally from Nampa, Idaho, has also been promoted to Legislative Aide. Tester previously served as a Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant for Crapo's office. Before joining Crapo’s team, he interned with U.S. Representative Russ Fulcher of Idaho and Governor Brad Little of Idaho. Tester holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business economics with a minor in political science from the University of Idaho. As a Legislative Aide, he will be responsible for homeland security issues.
