BOISE, Idaho - U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho) announced new staff hires in his Boise office today.

Madison Hardy has joined the office as Senator Risch’s Communications Director. Raised in Boise, Hardy previously served as Idaho Governor Brad Little’s Press Secretary. Before her state service, Hardy was a reporter with KIVI-TV in Boise and the Coeur d’Alene Press. A University of Idaho graduate, Hardy will operate out of the Boise office.

Sydney Sterling, a third-generation Idahoan and Parma native, will serve as Senator Risch’s Southwest Idaho Deputy Regional Director, primarily focusing on Ada County. Sterling is also a University of Idaho alum and was a legislative intern in Senator Risch’s Washington, D.C. office during the summer of 2022.

The Boise office represents Senator Risch and serves residents in 10 southwestern Idaho counties—Ada, Canyon, Owyhee, Elmore, Boise, Gem, Payette, Washington, Adams, and Valley counties.

“I am fortunate to have outstanding staff in Idaho and Washington, D.C.,” said Risch. “Madison and Sydney are committed to serving the state of Idaho, and I am confident they will continue to ensure a standard of excellent service to Idahoans from my office.”
